Summer West

Based in Cambodia, I return to Europe every summer, where I was born and raised. For nearly two months, I reconnect with family, friends and familiar places, while continuing to explore countries across the continent.

Photographed over the past fifteen years, these annual journeys have taken me through much of Europe, always including time in Paris, the city where I grew up. As the images accumulated, they gradually formed a body of work shaped by movement, reunion and the experience of returning.

Conceived as an echo to Kingdom of Wander, this series reflects another side of my life: not the experience of living abroad, but the recurring journey back to where everything began. Together, the photographs evoke the rhythm of leaving and returning, between two worlds that have come to define my life.
